Speaker Spotlight: Raffy Tima
[/one_third_last]
We could have shown everyone all the BlogFest speakers’ profiles because it’s hard to contain excitement with all the speakers that we have lined up for this year’s eyeball. Here’s another reason to block your skeds on November 26!
If Philippine television has one brave newscaster, it has to be Raffy Tima. Raffy was posted in some of the country’s and world’s most dangerous news assignments. He covered the wars on terror in Afghanistan and Iraq, and even the all-out war against the Moro Islamic Liberation Front in 2000. He also is GMA News’ main reporter in the kidnappings by the Abu Sayyaf Group in early 2000s. He also covered US President Barack Obama’s inauguration for GMA News.
Off the warzone, Raffy is a host of GMA’s i-Witness and the Reporter’s Notebook. He also anchors GMA News TV’s Balitanghali, MTRCB’s Most Outstanding Newscast. He is COMELEC’s most outstanding news producer in the 2004 Presidential Elections.
On the web, he is @raffytima on Twitter, and is one of the advocates of GMA’s “Think Before You Click” program.
Catch Raffy off the TV, and in person on BlogFest SOCCSKSARGEN 2.0 in sunny General Santos City on November 26!
