The BlogFest SOCCSKSARGEN 2.0 Secretariat is excited to present the first of the fantastic guest speakers of this year’s biggest bloggers’ eyeball in Southern Mindanao!

Mae Paner has an extensive resume that will leave most of us unhired if the BlogFest is a huge job fair. She is one of the Philippine Web’s biggest  personalities. On the net, she is better known as Juana Change. Mae is behind the series of videos that aims to be a critic of the Philippine happenings in a fun, but smart way.

On paper, Mae describes herself as a TV Commercial Film Director/Actress for Stage, Film and Television/Theatre Arts Facilitator. Here at the SOCCSKSARGEN Bloggers, we call her ‘amazing’. It is hard to beat Mae’s talent of creating something powerful out of something fun.

Mae has become popular in the Philippine media as Juana Change. She portrays different characters to show Filipinos about the relevant issues in Philippine politics and government. The first Juana Change video appeared in 2008.

Mae finished BS Psychology at the University of Sto. Tomas and Managing the Arts Program at the Asian Institute of Management, Manila. Since 1997, she has done advertisements for UNICEF, Child Rights Center, Globe Telecom, PLDT, Smart, Jollibee, McDonalds,  Unilab,  Wyeth, SAFI, National Bookstore, Colgate Palmolive, Unilever, Proctor & Gamble, among others.

Being a genius in the advertising world, Mae used her communications prowess to create positive change in the Philippine government and society. She co-founded the Artists’ Revolution, a group of Filipino artists who work for change in Philippine government and politics.

Recently, she advocated for personal change by promoting fitness. Mae has indeed succeeded in walking the talk in pursuance of positive change as she has lost pounds through healthy living, and is set to lose more! You can find more about her personal advocacy here.

It is truly an honor for the organizers of the BlogFest SOCCSKSARGEN to bring to Southern Mindanao a pillar of Filipino artists, a true-blue Filipino, to rub elbows with us during Mindanao’s Funnest Eyeball, the BlogFest SOCCSKSARGEN 2.0!
